I look at the moon
that old man
who winks at me
having been there
longer than
history
and I think of the man
who set his foot
in that quiet place
now gone deeper
into mystery
than the moon ever was.

Thank you! All we poor poets CAN do is make a point of pointing at what we find important.

A place where truth and sentiment create it’s own realm, where a poet’s tribute keeps the memory of a legend alive. Insight-fully rendered and a pleasure to read.

Sincerely honoring others may be the best way to garner honor for oneself. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you Sandy. I’ve been remiss on my blog site for sometime. I’m catching/freshening up. It was rude not to take care of replying to my comments earlier though, & I apologize. : )

Visiting your site for the first time today.
I have a poem with the same title “Moon Man” (different topic).
